In 2017 the Sons of Herb learned that there were student-athletes reading and comprehending below their grade level.

The administrator and organizers of the program need assistance compensating teachers for working with student-athletes in an after-school program.

The program was aimed at improving student-athlete reading and comprehension levels as well as prepare them for the Scholastic Aptitude Test.

Sons of Herb answered the call and made a contribution to the Literacy Program.
